She Bangs

bankgs.jpg

With a new season comes the need to change things up a bit.  A easy way to change your hairstyle is to add bangs.  Bangs (or a fringe) can give you a different look quickly.  Bangs can do almost as much for your face as makeup.  Depending on the cut of the bang, you can give you a younger look or more sultry look.

Bangs also let you change your look without sacrificing your length.  A short bang with long hair is always in style.  Maybe you like the versatility that a bang gives.  Depending on the length of the bang, you can sometimes push it off to the side, with a clip or hairband.

Some of the different types of bangs; wispy and mess, blunt and sleek, or angled.

Want to give it a try?  Here’s how you can do it yourself at home.

  • Wash and dry your hair
  • Use a large mirror  -preferrably a bathroom mirror
  • Decide what style bang you would like.
  • Part the area you want for the bang - don’t pull on hair
  • Use a sharp pair of scissors
  • Starting from the middle of the bang, begin to cut from the middle of the bang towards the ear, repeat for the other side.
  • Try to snip a little at a time, don’t cut big hunks of hair.

If your unsure of how long you want your bang to be, start off with a very long bang, try it for a while then cut it shorter if you’d like.  You’re going to look so good with these bangs…here’s to a fresh looking you!

Do you want to be a sexy housewife?

First Day of School Fashion

While getting the children ready for the first day of school, lets not forget about mama.  I’m sure like myself, the last time many of you experienced your own ‘first day of school’ was many years ago.   However, you still want to look fab for the children’s first day.  Not to worry, here are a few ways you can set a trend, making getting dressed to take the kids to school, beautiful and hassle-free.

If you can, why not sneak a few new items into the cart while shopping for the kids.   A new tee shirt in a fresh color instantly makes you look pulled together.  For a small amount of money you can update your look.  A new shirt can cost as little as 5 or 6 dollars, if you want and can spend more, why not?  A wrap dress is always a good investment.  You can wear it many different ways.  Dress it down with some simple wedge heels or dress it up for a date with a classic pair of pumps and some lots of jewelry.

See You in September!

seasalt.jpg

With autumn rapidly approaching, the time has come to begin preparing our beauty routine for this season. I hate saying ‘goodbye’ to summer hair and flip flops as much as the next gal.  Much like the children on their first day of school, I like to look and feel amazing once the calendar reads ‘September’.  Here are a few ways you can begin to prepare for autumn, give them a try.

 SCRUB-A-DUB

Your feet have taken a beating.  You’ve been wearing flip flops everywhere since the end of April and now your feet show the damage.  Dry, cracked heels, not very attractive.  Everyday, be sure to use a pumice during your bath time.  The pumice will get rid of your cracked heels in no time.  Be sure not to neglect the sides of your feet, they need a good scrub as well.

Look Great at the Bus Stop

Annette, before

Where’s my lunch box?  Can I have pancakes for breakfast?  Did anyone see my math homework?  I think Spike wet the carpet.  Where are my keys?

Does this sound familiar?  I’m sure everyone’s home sounds like this on any given school day.  What with trying to get lunches made, husbands off to work and kids off to school, the start of your day can get very hectic.
