
Ladies, spring has arrived! You’ve done your spring cleaning on your home. Now it’s time to do some spring cleaning on yourself! How long has it been since you had your hair done by a professional or painted your toe nails? It’s time to do both and more! You deserve to spend time on yourself. In fact, research shows that women who take care of their appearance feel better about themselves! It’s time to make yourself a priority in your own life and look HOT this spring!
There are several ways you can give yourself some TLC that have a great impact on how you look. I challenge you to do each and every item on this list:
1. Exfoliate your skin from head to toe. Your skin is probably covered in dry, dead skin cells from the cold winter months. Refresh it with a yummy scented sugar body scrub, just be sure to use one specific for facial skin when scrubbing your face. You never want to use a body scrub on your tender facial skin!
2. Have your hair cut by a professional! A good cut is essential to having a good hairstyle! You can do your color at home if you like but invest some money into the cut. Try something new or freshen up your current cut if it is a modern style.
3. Give yourself a pedicure or have one done! To me, getting a pedicure is a great time to relax. It’s fun to take along a friend and catch up on each other’s lives! Catching a glimpse of your pretty toes is such a treat that can last for at least 3 weeks!
4. Shave your legs! I bet many of your don’t shave during the winter months…well, it’s time to buy some new razors and shave off the jungle. Get smooth and sexy for you and your man!
5. If you don’t already exercise, start! This is a hard one for me. I had always exercised until I had kids then it just wasn’t a priority. It should be! Being active with my kids and for my kids is something I am striving to do this spring. Are you like me? Then start a walking program, riding bikes with your kids or the Fit Yummy Mummy program which involves only 15 minutes of exercise a day! It’s really easy to fit into your day if you make it a priority!
6. Drink more water. Water is essential to life. Drinking more will give you more energy and bright, clear skin! Same goes for the fresh fruits and veggies!
7. Give your wardrobe a makeover. It is time to giveaway big, baggy, stained, ill-fitting clothing! Dress in your size! Look slimmer by wearing clothes that fit!
8. Use accessories to spruce up your look. It is SO easy to create a chic outfit with basic jeans and tees (well fitting, mind you) by adding great accessories! Wear a statement necklace or unique earrings paired with a bright spring handbag to keep your everyday uniform of jeans and tees looking fresh!
9. Keep your spring makeup looking fresh and natural. Use pinks on the cheeks for a healthy, rosy glow. Slick on gloss instead of chapstick for a bit of shine. Always wear mascara!
10. Take care of your hands. Buy several small handcreams and stash them in your car, purse, kitchen and bathroom. Apply often. Keep your nails neat and clean. If you wear nail polish on your fingernails, replace it at the first sign of chips.
This list is easy to incorporate into your daily life. It doesn’t require a lot of time or money. It just requires you to do it! By adding these ten suggestions into your routine, you are going to feel and look gorgeous! When you look good, you’ll feel good and trust me, people will notice! Nothing says confident like a well- groomed, smiling woman!
