You’ve been talking denim jeans on the forum…WHO makes a great pair of jeans, WHAT makes a great pair of jeans, HOW much you are spending on the jeans and WHY it is necessary to have a great pair of jeans in your wardrobe. Denim is one of the most talked about topics in fashion. It is also one of the most dreaded topics for women all over the world…finding the perfect pair of jeans is never easy!

Many of us find denim to be a MUST HAVE in our wardrobe. Others won’t wear it at all (though I think it is because they have not found the right pair of jeans yet…)! Denim jeans are so versatile and many woman fail to see that. They feel “dressed down” or uncomfortable in the structured fabric. The trick to denim is what you wear it with.

I had a friend tell me that she “couldn’t” put together an outfit, that all she wears is jeans and tees. I confessed that in the non-summer months, all I wear is denim and tees. I love the look. I put a bit more effort into it with a cute fitted tee or sweater, great accessories and heels when appropriate. Ladies, it is all about the details! Denim jeans are great for a sexy night out with your man, perfect for a play date with your kid and adorable with the right top for cocktails with your girlfriends.

Here are some tips for wearing jeans that may help you convert to a denim wearer:

1. Dark denim is better worn at night as it gives a dressier look.

2. Mid to high rise are the most appropriate to wear when crawling on the floor with your kiddos. Showing off your thong to your toddler’s My Gym class isn’t cool.

3. When wearing a wide leg jean, wear heels or your legs will disappear.

4. Many jeans are designed to aid in hiding body flaws like the Tummy Tuck Jeans that offer tummy control and lift the rear.

5. Remember that when you try on a pair with lycra, they WILL stretch after you wear them. Buy accordingly.
